Midnight Gardens

Welp, the last upload for a while. I'm really going to need to focus on some personal things going on.

A bat pony. Because I don't have one of those yet :v
I think I really put too much into this, I designed and redesigned her for the past two weeks!
But working on the background was so much fun! For the first time!

Alba LaFleur is a love child of a Pegasi diplomat's daughter and a batpony Royal Guard.
The two have met on a regular basis while the diplomat family reside in the Capital City, however
when their stay slowly came to an end a child was conceived. The Pegasi father was furious that
his own daughter would dishonor herself like that and to avoid any more shame to their name he
cut all her ties to the batpony guard...
However there still was the problem of the illegitimate child. The mare decided to keep it, but
wasn't allowed to raise it under the same name and roof as her father's.
With the help of her trusted nanny, she gave birth and left the child in her lover's care, saying
her last goodbyes to both.


Time passed and the child grew. She turned into a beautiful young lady, and thanks to her father's
connections she recieved high education and learned etiquette worthy of a Debutante.

She inherited her mother's grace, strong will and beautifull pale coat, after her father she took
most of the bat pony features, including sharp senses.


However in this society bat ponies are still somewhat feared and treated with less respect,
that's why all Alba ever wanted was to be a Pegasi like her idolised mother.
She looks tough and determined but that inner insecurity makes her fragile inside
and easily hurt by hateful approach. Although her inner Pagasi Pride wouldn't let her admit it,
sometimes even to herself.

Alba loves nature and the outside world, but due to a bat pony nature, she can't spend the whole
day outside. Bat pony eyes are especially sensitive to strong sunlight making it a painfull experiance.
She can only admire the sun at dawn or in the early evening.

Her special place would be what she calls 'the Midnight Gardens' which are basically
the remains of an old mansion outside of town, just on the verge of the woods.
